Abstract

The worldwide rise in obesity in the last 30 years is now well documented, and it places a significant burden of morbidity and mortality on adult populations across the globe. Comorbidities that accompany the rise in obesity affect all aspects of human physiology, and may even through epigenetic mechanisms affect our as yet unborn future generations.
