Abstract
In this paper, the traditional terrain data preprocessing technology is improved. By using the Jiugongge hierarchical model, the non-redundant data storage method in block and the hierarchical index and ordinal index of the terrain block, a multi resolution hierarchical model of terrain is constructed. On this basis, it realizes the real-time rendering of large scale terrain with the sectional drawing method. The experimental results show that, compared with the traditional method based on four rendering tree, this method can effectively reduce the terrain data loading time, improve the fluency of the real-time rendering of large scale terrain.
