Abstract
Business organisations need to operate sustainably for the global well-being. “Do unto the sustainability as you would have it do unto you” is the “crux”, which has to vibrate in every individual’s soul of Textiles and Clothing (T&C) stakeholders to ensure that “Textile world meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. This is emphasised through an overview, life cycle, sustainable/unsustainable defence T&C features, sustainable procurement practices, and twenty-first-century realities and best practices. The generic viewpoints discussed are derivable to suite defence T&C.
