Abstract

Efficiency is a fundamental concept in the field of economics and has been variously defined in different textbooks. The concept is basically concerned with the economic use of resources (inputs) for production. Given the limited and finite nature of resources available to every productive process, the importance of studying efficiency is self-evident.
