Abstract
Job hopping and on-the-job search are common practices in the IT industry. Despite offering high remuneration to its employees and sophisticated work environment, the industry continues to face high attrition levels and workers change their jobs often. The recruitment practices are formal as well as informal and in the event employers are likely to face problems of adverse selection. The chapter links these practices with decent work and explains the inter-relationships between them.
