Abstract
The colposcopic examination of vulva, also known as vulvoscopy, forms an integral part of gynecological examination and is an important component of the screening process for lower genital tract disease. During vulvoscopy, color changes, topography, surface contour and angioarchitecture of all the parts of vulva should be noted. The findings during colposcopy of vulva and vagina should be documented using the latest terminology described by IFCPC. The indications of colposcopy of vulva and vagina, procedure and classification of lesions have been described with supporting illustrations.
