Abstract

In this thesis, we described our exploration on the functionalization of carboranes via o-carboryne intermediates. As shown in Scheme 8.1, our research initiated from the cage carbon functionalization of o-carborane via 1,2-dehydro-o-carborane (o-carboryne) intermediate, which could be produced by known methods.
