Abstract

The Yangtze River Economic Belt runs across Eastern China, Central China, and Western China, covering the coastal areas in the East and the vast inland areas, which possesses unique location advantages and huge development potential. The Chinese government has made the significant strategic decision to push forward the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt (hereinafter referred to as the Belt), while building the new areas that support the growth of Chinese economy. It is of great significance for China to effectively expand the domestic demand, promote stable economic growth, adjust the regional structure, and upgrade the economy. Along the Belt, there are densely dotted industries, rapid growth of logistic needs, well-developed logistic infrastructures, strong support for policies, and rapidly evolving trend of modern logistics. Relying on the Golden Waterways in Yangtze River, shipping logistics provides important support for the development of logistics industry in the Belt, thus greatly promoting the economic growth and formation of industrial belt along the Belt.
