Abstract
The Long Term Evolution (LTE) network has been introduced in Third generation partnership project (3GPP) to provide very high data rate for downlink, good services for multimedia, and packet optimized radio access technology. The resource block is the basis entity of a cellular system. So the resource management plays an important role to achieve better performance. For proper utilization of resources there should be some scheduling strategies to allocate the resources among the users in an efficient manner. There exist various scheduling strategies i.e. PF, FLS, MLWDF etc. This article contains the performance analysis of Proportional Fair (PF), Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (M-LWDF) and Exponential-Proportional Fairness (EXP-PF) algorithms, carried out on a single cell affected by interference for different flows such as VoIP, VIDEO and Best Effort. The evaluation is carried out in terms of delay, fairness index, spectral efficiency and throughput.
