Abstract
Smart Cities is one of the emerging concepts in different continents including Europe, US, Africa, Australia and Asia too. Different people are using for different purposes, including India’s Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi for political strategy with 100 new Smart Cities, IBM for business with “Smarter Planet”, rich people are looking for the Quality of Life, UAE people in need of sustainable city and a common man looking for employment. The tools using in these cities are Internet of Things Technologies, which brings the operational efficiency. The objective of this article is to explore importance of Smart Cities. This article also clearly depicting Smart Cities conceptual model [(U/I: IoT: S/D: S/H: A)]/L-M based on some primary data on observations and technical discussions along with secondary data. Moreover, this manuscript discussing current scenario of Smart Cities, sightsee both Meixi (China) and Kochi (India) cities.
