Abstract
This chapter starts from differentiating climate and weather and then climate change and its impact on global context and mainly on agriculture. The various climatological parameters affecting crop yield are then discussed. This is followed by the slight description of downscaling techniques and its application. This chapter concludes with the brief introduction of multiple linear regression (MLR) and principal component analysis, followed by the objectives of the study.
