Abstract
Climate changes caused by increased carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in the atmosphere pose a daunting challenge to human survival and development. Consequently, the international community has recently come up with a countermeasure, i.e. to develop low-carbon economy, with the emphasis on efficient energy utilization and a clean energy structure in the industry. The low-carbon agricultural economy should be an integral part of low-carbon economy that can also do something about global climate change. This role, however, has never been discussed yet. In this paper, we will try to give a brief review.
