Abstract
The previous few chapters, in accordance with the research design of this study, touch upon various phases of research in a step-by-step manner. Basically, all the research objectives are realised via the three designated phases of research: (1) building an empirical argument of embedding nonverbal delivery into speaking assessment; (2) developing a rating scale for assessing candidates’ communicative ability in group discussion; and (3) validating the proposed rating scale with quantitative and qualitative methods. Serving as the final stage of this thesis, this chapter concludes the research findings concisely, elucidates the implication of the findings and also points out the caveats of this study, based on which the reflections upon the future relevant studies are yielded.
