Abstract
This paper investigates the relationship between disaggregated energy consumption (electricity, fossil fuel, and renewable energy), carbon dioxide emissions, and economic growth in Malaysia for the periods of the year 1980–2010 using the Johansen cointegration technique. The results reveal that there is a long-run positive relationship between each of the variable which is theoretically expected.
