Abstract
If I’m honest, I know what it means to have caring teachers. As a privileged (White, middle class, U.S. American) student who attended funded schools, I knew what it felt like to be cared for and to make connections with teachers. These positive experiences are what made the pain of moments of non-care that much more distressing.
