Abstract

This book has sought to explore the relationship between education reform and politics in a society undergoing rapid social change. To understand this issue, Taiwan’s education reform, which is closely related to its democratization process, has been examined, with an emphasis on how political powers interacted in an electoral setting, and what the patterns of those interactions were.
