  • Chapter
Collaboration, Communities and Competition

Abstract

In recent years teaching and learning has gradually been gaining in prominence on the political agendas of national higher education systems and within the strategic plans of higher education institutions (cf. Sursock, 2015). The 2014 IAU Global Survey clearly shows that improving the quality of teaching and learning is one of the top three priorities in the internationalisation of European higher education institutions (Egron-Polak & Hudson, 2014).
