Part of the book series: Educational Partnerships and Collaborations ((PART))

Abstract

The Partnerships with Teachers section offers vivid images of university researchers and practitioners mutually engaged in drawing on the skills and knowledge of a range of educators to strengthen the links between research and practice and improve instruction for a range of learners. While such collaborations intuitively make sense, partnering is complex and it involves players from very different social and cultural contexts who hold different forms of knowledge, play out different professional roles and experience different demands and rewards in their work settings.
