Abstract

This chapter focuses on the role of education in Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and South Africa, paying particular attention to the part education played in creating a socialist worldview. It also draws attention to the importance of using indigenous understandings of socialism, utilizing concepts that come from African cultures and methodologies that build on African worldviews.
