Abstract

Election 2016 was appearing to be one of the most scandalous elections in U.S. history. Never before had the FBI Director, or an official in the U.S. intelligence apparatus, publically intervened with bombshell announcements so close to the election that slowed down the momentum of a candidate leading by as many as ten points in some polls and raising questions about the suitability of the candidate, Hillary Clinton, by placing her in yet another email scandal.
