Abstract
As discussed in earlier chapters, a student’s relationship to her college can be endlessly complex. In addition to the question of acceptance by the prevailing college culture, there are the questions one asks oneself: “Do I like it here? Am I comfortable and supported?” Sometimes, the dissonance is so strong that a student will opt to leave, despite enjoying positive aspects of the college experience.
