Abstract

Rafael, a trisomic student who was aged 20 at the time that the events described here occurred, always had the support of his family. They were fully involved in his education process from the very beginning. His schooling was also supported by the work and help of professionals from three main different contexts of formal and non-formal education: early care, school support at home (speech therapists, teachers, psychologists and educationalists) and school.
