Abstract

Throughout this book, we have heard powerful stories from families of children with disabilities that remind us of why collaboration is so important. We have witnessed how it can work, and how and why it sometimes breaks down. These stories also suggest possibilities for expanded roles for parents (e.g., parents as experts, advocates and leaders).
