Abstract

With a total area spanning 1,542,056 square kilometres and a population of approximately 8 million, Quebec has the largest land mass and the second largest population of all the Canadian provinces. Quebec possesses a unique status in relation to the rest of Canada, as the majority of its inhabitants are francophone.
