Abstract

Canada is perceived as a world leader in immigration with a target of between 250,000 and 285,000 immigrants annually (Citizenship and Immigration Canada, 2014). With economic immigrants the priority, Canada has been at the forefront of developing academic and professional bridging programs to enable internationally educated professionals to meet regional certification requirements and integrate into their respective fields.
