Abstract
I know that I wasn’t born to be a writer. I learned to write through hard work. I’m sure I’ve devoted the ten thousand hours Malcolm Gladwell prescribes, and I can honestly say that I’ve never worked so hard at anything. As a sick kid I tried to make personal sense of the world. I wasn’t concerned with sharing ideas or how to craft elegant arguments.
