Abstract

“We might be taking our lives in our hands,” Ernest says. It is five o’clock, and we’re going to the Concord Street “Hi-Neighbor Pot-Luck and Block Party,” around the corner from our Revere Street home. Earlier this year the people around the corner tried to get our street permanently blockaded to prevent cut-through traffic on theirs. We fought them and won.
