1985: Come Walk with Me

Abstract

Come walk with me out my kitchen door onto the crumbling cement stairs and macadam driveway, past the redbud, petite lavender bush and Japanese maple that replaced the towering silver maple we cut down before it fell down on our now Williamsburg blue-painted and red-roofed Cape Cod home. The Japanese maple’s leaves are crimson, its trunk less wide than Black Cat’s waist.
