The Undertones of Culture in American Education

The Exigencies of Trans-Cultural Consciousness in Transnational Education

  • Chapter
Perspectives in Transnational Higher Education

Abstract

As the world increasingly becomes a global village, and more and more countries are investing in transnational education, there is a growing necessity for transcultural knowledge. Considering the different experiences gained from studying and working with students from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities in diverse educational settings, this study aligns with research that advocates the need for a deliberate effort in the understanding the indigenous values of people.
