Abstract

“Legendary whistleblower” (Tsai, 2006, p. 74) Dr. Nancy F. Olivieri was the centre of the most famous academic freedom case in Canadian history, the most detailed investigation ever conducted and published by the CAUT, and “one of the most important events to occur in research ethics” (Viens & Savulescu, 2004, p. 1) in this country.
