Abstract

Digital citizenship is a new iteration of moral education concerns, extended to the virtual space of the Internet and emergent technologies such as social networks, digital media, cloud computing, smart phones, and so on. The practical rationale for educating the young on how to behave in the digital world are occurrences of cyberphenomena that in the real world have been heavily regulated or even criminalized, for example, bullying, harassment, privacy violations, and so on.
