Abstract
During my second year teaching in District 2, and my first year teaching first grade at Chant Elementary, I found myself sitting in the audience in support of a colleague’s annual end-of-the-year play. I hesitated attending because I was critical of the scripted curriculum Mrs. Krendall1 followed with her first-grade students.
