Living Apart Together

The Limited Interaction between International and Local Students in Higher Education in Japan (and Abroad)

  • Chapter
The Impact of Internationalization on Japanese Higher Education

Part of the book series: Global Perspectives on Higher Education ((GPHE,volume 22))

Abstract

In this chapter, I would like to bring in a student’s perspective about the (attempt of) internationalization of Japanese higher education in the daily lives of international and local students. In sum, interaction among Japanese students and international students does not happen by merely putting Japanese students and international students in the same campus.
