Abstract

In order to describe my experience as an LGBT student in public schools, I put together several snapshots of my K-12 school career that hold particular significance to me. I left out many individual instances of bullying, but the general mood at each point in time reflects the types of experiences I was having and my fluctuating relationship with school.
