  • Chapter
The Praxis of English Language Teaching and Learning (PELT)

Part of the book series: Critical New Literacies ((CNLI))

Abstract

Researching in EFL classrooms is complicated and challenged by a number of factors: the position of English as a global language; global mobility and its impact on cultural identity; the call for greater communicative competencies in EFL learners; proliferation of innovative pedagogical repertoires in EFL teaching; as well as the demands of teacher accountability in relation to student performance.
