Abstract
“Willie’s your son-in-law, Henry,” Johann remarked in his deep German accent one sweltering evening, shifting discussion away from plans for construction of a preacher apartment, during a weekly meeting of the church’s building committee. “Why is he following his brother to Iowa? It was bad enough that John and his family left.”
