  • Chapter
Rigorous Data Analysis

Part of the book series: Practice of Research Method ((PRM))

Abstract

In different chapters of this book, I refer to the IRE sequence of turns, where someone who turns out to be in the know initiates an exchange generally by asking a question, someone else replies, generally the person who is less in the know and therefore turns out to be lower on the knowledge differential, and the first person evaluates the foregoing reply.
