Abstract
During the weeks after her father was hospitalized, Janice received regular updates from her sister. Marge also insisted that Janice called their mother every Sunday. The Sunday following Halloween was particularly stressful for Janice. Her father had been released a few days earlier, wheelchair bound and forced to use a catheter, which, like many other things, her mother had been trained to assist with. Again, Marge urged Janice to visit, and again, Janice claimed that she was too swamped at work.
