Abstract
Action research cannot work from a position where the main flow of impulses moves from general theory to local action (Gustavsen, 2008). In action research we must move away from theory-based approaches to ones more rooted in people’s practice (Shotter, 2005a). Action research (AR) is a form of practitioner research dealing with tasks and changing processes in the world – in everyday practice (Denscombe, 2009) – in the everyday conduct of our lives (Reason & Bradbury, 2006).
