Abstract

How did I become an education researcher? Why did I settle on psychometrics as a career? How did that decision lead me to the kinds of research projects I’ve been working on for more than 40 years? Before I was asked if I would write this story, I had never considered these questions. In fact I became a psychometrician quite by accident.
