Abstract

The mathematics classroom in Mainland China has been changing dramatically since the end of the last century (Liu & Li, 2010). A new mathematics curriculum was designed based on research studies, including the analysis of the achievements and problems of Chinese mathematics education, and comparisons of the mathematics curriculum and its development with those of other education systems.
