Part of the book series: Bold Visions in Educational Research ((BVER))

Abstract

Albert and Rita Chretien were two Canadians who decided to drive to Las Vegas, Nevada for a trade show from their home in British Columbia. For their trip, they relied upon the Global Positioning Device (GPS) in their van and wound up taking a series of wrong turns, which put them deep into a largely-uninhabited, high desert wilderness of Nevada. After getting their car stuck in a muddy section of road, Albert Chretien decided to walk to the nearest town to find help while his wife Rita decided to stay in the van.
