Abstract
There is no term that is so heavily contested in social science literature/nomenclature than ‘Development’. Why is this so? In many ways, the contentions speak to the failure of development theories, theorists and field practitioners to agree on what development is, what constitutes development and how such development practice ought to be pursued.
