Abstract
Before the curtain rises, we hear music from the 1940s and then a series of radio broadcasts from December 7, 1941 to 1945. At rise, it is a sunny Saturday afternoon. SONYA, wearing her work clothes (her father’s old bib overalls), turns the radio dial until she settles on a news broadcast.
