Abstract

As a new student teacher, finding your role in the classroom can be a challenge. When I first started in my placement, I was an observer. Although some peers jumped right in and began teaching the first day, observing gave me the opportunity to get to know the students in the class and see how my mentor teacher related and handled the curriculum and the classroom management.
