Abstract

Mr. Jenkins used normative power, interactively established contracts, and charm to prevent suspension in his classroom. He did not use coercive power. Mr. Jenkins’s reliance on charm and continual interactively established contracts with a lack of coercive power balanced out the high dose of normative power he exhibited.
