Abstract
Some people get excited when they are asked to do something. Others see work piling up in the in-tray, and a mound of obligations, commitments, expectations. She was, she thought, in the former category, almost always ready and excited to say, “Yes,” without really considering drawbacks. Her best friend, she thought, was in the latter category.
