Abstract

Ana Maria Araújo (Nita) Freire was born in Recife, Brazil, November 13, 1933. Her parents were educators at the Colégio Osvaldo Cruz and guided her in ethical, scientific, and moral education. The high school she attended was owned by her parents, Genove and Aluizio Pessia de Araújo.
