Abstract
Pedagogies for the future is an ambitious and challenging concept in higher education, not least because although there is an expectation that higher education should be at the forefront of cutting edge practice, for many reasons it often struggles to live up to that expectation. Change can be challenging in higher education. Funding and bureaucratic constraints, combined with prescribed institutional objectives and strategies can create barriers to innovation; even though that is far from the intention. So, in many instances, it can be difficult for individuals to feel free to step outside of the everyday and allow their creativity to flourish and to break new ground.
