Abstract
Deceit is usually looked upon as immoral or cruel, and it certainly is when people act behind others’ backs or when we deceive in order to achieve a desired end. Let me briefly mention a couple of examples. In Musei Capitolini in Rome, Italy, we find Caravaggio’s painting The fortune teller from 1594.
